American Cheer Power was very saddened to hear of the passing of
athlete Celeste Wigley of Quinlan, TX on July 9, 2008 of
Wilson's Disease, a genetic liver disease.
We truly enjoyed watching
Celeste grow up before our eyes, and looked forward to seeing
her dazzling smile each year at team and individual events.
Celeste won an amazing
amount of awards over the last 8 years in the Crowd Pleaser and
Crowd Pleaser Couple category including many High Point and
Showmanship awards and was featured in many American Cheerleader
Magazine ads. She was chosen to be in our "It's Easy To
Spot A Winner" Cheer Biz ad in 2007. She also won the $500
High Point Scholarship at the 2008 Banquet. Cheer Power
would like to name a scholarship in Celeste's honor for the 2009
competition season.
