CHEER TEAM NATIONAL GUIDELINES

Directions:

Coming from IH-35 North
Use the New Braunfels Street exit, south on New Braunfels to Commerce Street, west on Commerce Street to Cherry Street, south on Cherry Street and into lots.

Coming from IH-35 South
Use US-90 East to New Braunfels Street exit, north on New Braunfels to Commerce Street, west on Commerce Street to Cherry Street, south on Cherry Street and into lots.

Coming from IH-10 East
Use Hackberry Street exit, north on Hackberry to Durango Blvd., west on Durango Blvd. To Cherry Street, North on Cherry Street and into lots.

Coming from IH-10 West
Use IH-35 north to New Braunfels Street exit, south on New Braunfels to Commerce Street, West on Commerce Street to Cherry Street, south on Cherry Street and into lots.

Coming from IH-37 South
Use Durango Blvd. exit, east on Durango Blvd. to Cherry Street, north on Cherry Street and into lots.

Coming from US 281 North
Use Durango Blvd. exit, east on Durango Blvd to Cherry Street, north on Cherry Street and into lots.

Floor Type:
This competition is on a spring floor and a Cheer Mat for Schools

Warm up Floor:
Please report and check in with warm ups 30 minutes before your scheduled time. Remember everyone wants the competition to run on time and in correct order.  PLEASE HELP US MAKE THIS HAPPEN.  Teams will receive up to 12 minutes on a 12' X 60' spring run. and a 42' X 54' cheer floor.  A sound system will be provided. 

Legality Verification

Spotter Policy

COACHES,

            Varsity has adopted a new spotter policy!  Extra spotters will not be on the floor unless requested!  Cheer Power, NCA, and UCA will still be using spotters on the floor!  We would like to ask if you do not want us to spot your team that you put your own coaches on the floor.  Also- PLEASE spot your teams in warm ups!  We do have most injuries occurring on the warm up floor!  WE NEED TO KEEP OUR ATHLETES SAFE!

MUSIC:
 Bring 2 quality recorded CDs or an MP3 player. 
 Provide a representative to run music at the music station.
 Music systems are different; therefore, coaches are strongly advised to create routines that finish at least 5 seconds before the maximum time limit in order to avoid time limit penalties.
 If a mistake is made because of Cheer Power’s/Power Dance’s personnel or sound system failure, the team will be allowed to perform again from the point in the routine where the mistake was made.
